About Jen
I was born in Longview, WA and grew up in the little town of Castle Rock. I grew up out in the country with my parents and younger sister. I loved having cows, horses, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, and tons of space for my sister and I to run around and play. My parents both worked for the school district my Dad as a health and PE teacher and my Mom as a library assistant. Between the two of them I grew up loving books, to this day I can sit and read for hours at a time, and loving sports and being active. My sister is two and a half years younger than I am and lives in CA with her husband and three children ranging in age from 3 to 9. I moved to the Tacoma area in 1995 and have lived here ever since. While I sometimes miss the country life, I truly appreciate living in town and being close to parks, grocery stores, many great outdoor activities and cultural events. My free time is spent enjoying a wide variety of activities such as reading, making jewelry, cooking, traveling, scrapbooking, knitting, watching football, working out at the Y, maintaining flower boxes, camping, hiking, walking our dog, volunteering in our community, and spending time with family and friends. | ![]() |
![]() | I have been employed at MultiCare Health System for the last 13 years and am currently working in the office that hires all the providers for the health system. While my job is busy and challenging at times I rarely work late and once I leave the office it is easy to leave work at work. I am thankful to work in a department with a director that understands that family comes first and work-life balance is as important to her as it is to those of us that report to her. My job allows me to live the life I want to when I'm not at work. By far the best part of my life is Mark. The day I met him changed my life for the better and I am so thankful I get to spend the rest of my life with him. It doesn't matter if we are taking the coolest vacation ever or are working in the yard together we have fun and I enjoy spending time with him. The natural next step for us is to grow our family through adoption. I can't wait to welcome a little one onto our hearts and home. I am so excited to be a Mom and have always thought Mark would be a great Dad. I know I won't be perfect, but I do know that I will love our new family member with all my heart and will do my best to provide a happy healthy environment for a little one to grow into an adult that values family, honesty, community, and has the skills to make healthy choices for their life. |
